BBC article on a Brazilian priest suspended by his archbishop because of his views on gay marriage, contraception, and priestly celibacy:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7913981.stm

Notice also:

Quote: Archbishop Pagotto is reported as saying the suspension will be lifted if the priest publicly renounces the views expressed in the interview.

This sounds like the same treatment given to Bishop Williamson recently. Turnabout is fair play, I say.

A frequent poster at both Fisheaters and Angelqueen forums has his own blog where he provides hard-to-find writings from the Saints of our glorious past. The quantity of good advice to be obained from reading these writings is incalculable.

If not then I suggest that now is the time to start praying for them. I know it may at first sound funny and ridiculous but after some contemplation one may realize that it is actually not, after all, each and every one of them is a creature created and loved by God and has a soul to save. If we think that by lining up in a premiere to greet them we do them favor then much more if we pray for them. For how many times do we ...

In the silence, all alone

Save for Jesus on His throne

And the worries of the day

All dissolve and fade away.

At the Altar’s foot I lay

Every burden of the day,

With its trials and its tears -

Deeds repented, deeds undone,

I was actually introduced to him when i was still a small girl. we used to own a Christmas tape that included songs by him. anyway, i then began to like him and some of his songs...

Very recently some of my older sibs found out that we actually have a copy of few of his creations and luckily this song too was included...

St. Anthony of Padua

IN 1221 St. Francis held a general chapter at Assisi; when the others dispersed, there lingered behind, unknown and neglected, a poor Portuguese friar, resolved to ask for and refuse nothing. Nine months later Fra Antonio rose under obedience to preach to the religious assembled at Forli, when, as the discourse proceeded, 'the Hammer of Heretics,' ' the Ark of the Testament,' ' the eldest son of St. Francis,' stood revealed in all his sanctity, learning, and eloquence ...

The Feast of Corpus Christi

"Do this in memory of me"

THE YEAR MADE HOLY

Msgr. Matthias Premm

THE name of this feast means the Body of Christ, that is, the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ as present in the Eucharist.

What is the meaning of the feast? Let us imagine for a moment that the Savior had instituted all the other sacraments, but not the Sacrament of the Altar. There would then be no Mass, no Communion, and during the day Jesus would not be present in our churches. How desolate ...

NFP is something that Catholic couples can only lawfully use under certain circumstances. It is an exception morally, and it is never to be the rule. I can think of three cases where it could be used morally: danger of health for one of the spouses (more likely that of the woman I would imagine), extreme poverty (when it would be impossible to adequately raise children or have more children), and imprisonment (like in a Communist prison for a long period of time).

The whole theme is meant especially for the youths to attain sanctity in life. It was under the guidance of the Apostles of Mary chaplain, Fr. Roy Dolotina

New Zealand also participated with Fr. Cranshaw and 3 other New Zealanders. District Superior Fr. Couture also came.

Perhaps the most famous story of St. Francis is when he tamed the wolf that was terrorizing the people of Gubbio. While Francis was staying in that town he learned of a wolf so ravenous that it was not only killing and eating animals, but people, too. The people took up arms and went after it, but those who encountered the wolf perished at its sharp teeth. Villagers became afraid to leave the city walls.

Francis had pity on the people and decided to go out and meet the wolf. He was desperately ...

On the other side, the Prince’s girlfriend looks modestly great save for its above the knee style. Anyhow, I’m sure Bp. Williamson would love to see women with those kinds of fashion than with any kind of trousers!

Note: This life of St Francis Xavier, Set All Afire!, written in a novel form in 1953 is completely based on historical documents. We give here some of the extracts concerning the arrival of Catholicism in South India in the years 1542-1545.

St Francis spent these three years evangelizing, first in the area of Goa, on the West coast, then in ...

His Excellency is asking us to say a Rosary everyday that given the international status of traditionalist Catholics worldwide, it’s pretty safe to say that every hour a Rosary is being said. The intention is for the triumph of the Catholic Tradition and for the lifting of the decree of the excommunication.
